DATE (Dedicated Automatic Test Equipment) is a flexible Test Development Tool for OEMS (Original Equipment Manufacturers). It can be used to test a wide range of small and medium sized avionics equipment for civil platforms (Airbus, Boeing, and Regional Aviation) and military aircraft (fighters, helicopters).

Based on an Open System Software (OSS) developed by EADS Test & Services, DATE is a flexible Test Solution devoted to the test of individual avionics equipment or equipment families. With DATE EADS Test & Services offers OEMs a Test Development Tool with extensive capabilities and an alternative to obsolete proprietary test systems for Engineering, Production and Maintanance testing.

The Open System Software architecture is coupled with basic, extendable hardware configuration using off-the-shelf resources.

DATE paves the way for a new EADS Test & Services generation of OSS-based Test Solutions that will give OEMS maximum capability and flexibility and full independence from resource obsolescence.
