Satellite Applications - Power System and Payload Test

EADS North America Defense Test & Services has developed ATE to test satellite power, battery and telemetry systems.

A typical ATE system was designed to exercise the power system and the satellite payloads.

The ATE simulated the satellite's primary power system and had the capability to conduct power dropout power fluctuation and exercise power protection systems and ordnance control testing. The ATE exercised payload and vehicle command, mission data and health status and redundancy functions via multiple serial telemetry channels. The ATE also provided buffering for satellite signals.
