EADS North America Increases
its Education Scholarship Endowment for the Army Aviation

contribution of $15,000 makes EADS North America the
largest corporate donor to the Associations annual
scholarship program
Atlanta,
GA, May 9, 2007 -
EADS North America is providing an additional $15,000
contribution to the Army Aviation Association of Americas
(AAAA) Scholarship Foundation, Inc., an educational
scholarship fund, expanding on the companys previous
donation of $35,000 that established the EADS North
America Distinguished Scholar Endowment last year.
This
endowment supports worthy candidates selected by the
AAAA Scholarship Foundation in pursuing an undergraduate
or graduate degree in aerospace or related technical
fields. Eligible candidates include AAAA members and
their immediate family members.
The
companys combined $50,000 donation has been matched
by a $15,000 commitment from the AAAA Scholarship Foundation,
bringing the total EADS North America Distinguished
Scholar Endowment to $65,000.
A
check for the new $15,000 donation will be presented
at the AAAA Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia by
David R. Oliver, Jr., the President and Chief Executive
Officer of EADS North America Defense.
Access
to advanced education is vital for all those who serve
in uniformas well as for their families,
Oliver said. EADS North America is pleased to
expand its contribution to the AAAA Scholarship Foundation
and to assist in its very important work within the
Army aviation community.
The
AAAA represents the entire U.S. Army Aviation community.
Its mission is to Support the U.S. Army Aviation
Soldier and Family. It serves as a forum for aviators
to exchange ideas and share experiences, and fosters
the professional development of its members through
programs at both the chapter and national level.
